I was blessed to have grown up at the feet of two people who have always valued human beings as this planet’s most valuable resource. They instilled into my twin brother and I the notion of service to others above all else. I have watched both my parents work tirelessly to help improve the conditions and the quality of life for others. It is this spirit that has driven me personally, educationally, and professionally.

Having received a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from Clark Atlanta University and a Masters of Business Administration from Troy State University, I have gone on to work in the petroleum/retail industry as well as the banking industry. I have over 10 years of experience in the field. I have worked for Circle K Stores Inc, BP Products North America, and Wachovia Bank. In these companies I have held various positions including district manager, financial business analyst, and general manager. This wealth of knowledge in retail has been a great asset to me with recruiting. It is also in this work that I have been able to continue my family’s legacy of service.

In 2007 I joined Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) as an Executive Recruiter. It is here that I found my passion and mission to help others by assisting professionals to find the best positions for them.

Growing up assisting my family’s consulting & recruiting business, I naturally became aware of the importance of the “human capital” that a company relies on in order to thrive in both the domestic and global market.

After gaining experience with management, hiring, & training, I further cemented the notion that it is the people who make an organization successful, and it is imperative that people are properly matched with & within their organization. Having honed my skills in sales, marketing, networking, & business management, I have come back to my roots in the field of Human Resources and recruiting. After spending the past several years matching people and homes, I was recruited by HRBP to focus my talents where that naturally lie: matching people and careers.

Angelia has fifteen years of human resources experience as an executive recruiter and consultant. Angelia prides herself on being able to identify and learn clientele requirements, support their objectives and help them to develop and recruit the right personnel to help achieve corporate success.

Prior to joining Human Resources Business Partners, Angelia led her own small boutique consulting company spanning multiple industry sectors. Angelia helped Blue Cross of Massachusetts re-engineer and staff many of its departments, supported the hiring efforts for a major commodities firm and supported the hiring and success of many insurance and health care firms throughout the country.

Angelia has a BA in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Development from The University of San Francisco. Her masters thesis on “How the Glass Ceiling Has Impacted Minority Women” was used as an educational tool for employers who are interested in overcoming barriers and creating companies that are inclusive and ready to compete in a diverse market.Angelia is a family person who enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She’s actively involved in her children’s school, working out at the gym, music, dancing, movies and theatre.
